Health and Behavior of Pet:
I agree and understand that TDPR has relied upon my representation that my pet is in good health, has not injured or shown threatening behavior to any persons or animals, is current on all required vaccinations and is free of parasites.
Aggressive Pets/Parasites:
TDPR reserves the right to refuse service, or to stop a groom in progress, if your pet may pose a threat to themselves, other pets or staff, whether it be an aggression problem, health problem, or parasite problem.
Owner Responsibility:
The owner agrees to be solely responsible and liable for any and all acts of behavior of their pet. This may include, but is not limited to, injury or death to pet, injury or death to another pet(s), or injury or death to a staff member or any other member of the public. Medical treatment expenses required by a staff member, a member of the public or for another pet will be the sole responsibility of the pet owner.
Matted Hair on Pets:
Owner is aware that if the hair on your pet is in a matted condition, pet may not be able to receive the style of cut requested. If the matting is severe, brushing out may be too stressful and painful for the pet. In this case TDPR may not be able to continue the groom. A shave down or a much shorter cut may be a possible option. We will contact you if this is the only option. Extra care will be taken in the shave-down process; however, cuts or nicks could occur depending on the severity of the matting. If a cut or nick happens the owner will not hold TDPR responsible.
Grooming Enclosures:
I agree and understand that my dog (s) may be placed in grooming enclosures before, during or after grooming.
Risks to Pet:
Extra care will be taken when preforming any grooming procedures, however, owner must understand possible reactions such as stress, skin irritation, possible nicks to the skin, or a toe nail quicked may occur. Additionally, problems occasionally arise after the grooming visit such as bleeding of nicks, clipper irritation, mental or physical stress. Grooming can also expose a hidden medical problem or aggravate a current one. Owner agrees not to hold TDPR responsible for any injuries, which might result from this grooming process.
Aging and Special Needs Pets: Owner is aware that as a pet ages or if the pet has special medical conditions, the process of grooming may become stressful, both physically and mentally. The stress of grooming may cause latent, unknown, active or inactive conditions such as arthritis, bone, joint or surgical sites to become active or inflamed, and unknown active or inactive heart, kidney, or liver disorders to become active and can result in illness, seizures, or the death of the pet. Although TDPR will take responsible care in the grooming of the pet, owner acknowledges that the stress of grooming may initiate immediate or latent medical problems in your pet. Owner agrees not to hold TDPR responsible for reactions to grooming.
Moles/Skin Lesions/Tumors/Other Skin Irregularities: Because these skin irregularities may protrude from the skin, they are vulnerable to nicks or cuts during the grooming process; owner agrees not to hold TDPR responsible for any cuts or nicks and skin reactions/irritations due to grooming process.
Grooming Rates: Owner agrees to pay the current grooming rate per visit per dog for services rendered. You will be advised of grooming rates prior to any work being done; however, certain treatments such as de-matting may not be pre-quoted but may be required to complete the groom.
Picking Up of Pet: If your pet is left at TDPR longer than 2 hours past completion of their grooming, daycare charges may apply.
Fee collection: Fees are due at the time of service. If for any reason all fees and charges are not paid and it is necessary to pursue collection of said fees and charges through civil action the owner agrees that all related collection expenses and other costs shall be paid by the owner of the pet.
Administering Aid: I agree and understand that should my pet become ill or appear in need of medical attention, TDPR shall have full discretion in administering treatment and I will pay any and all expenses involved in obtaining the necessary treatment, including, but not limited to, veterinarian visits, medications, examinations and surgery. TDPR agrees to make reasonable efforts to contact me should aid be necessary, however, if they are unable to reach me or need to administer aid immediately, TDPR may use their discretion and administer aid without contacting you first.
Release of Liability: I agree, understand and hereby release TDPR, their owners, staff, partners and volunteers, financially or otherwise, for injuries to my pet, myself, or any property of mine while my pet is participating in services provided by TDPR.
WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION:
YOU HEREBY AGREE TO EXPRESSLY AND FOREVER GENERALLY WAIVE, DISCHARGE CLAIMS, INDEMNIFY, RELEASE FROM LIABILITY, SAVE, HOLD HARMLESS AND DEFEND TDPR, their invitees, owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, agents, representatives, lessors, and all others having an interest in any TDPR party (collectively, the “Releasees”) from and against ANY AND ALL INJURY, LIABILITY, CLAIMS, LITIGATION, ACTIONS, SUITS, COSTS, LOSSES, DAMAGES, ATTORNEY’S FEES, EXPENSES OR DEMANDS OF EVERY CHARACTER WHATSOEVER on account of, arising out of, resulting from or relating in any way to (i) any act or omission of the Releasees, (ii) your dog(s)’ participation at TDPR, in-home pet care services, or otherwise. YOU AGREE THAT THIS RELEASE IS BINDING ON YOU AND YOUR SUCCESSORS, HEIRS, LEGAL REPRESENTATIVES AND ASSIGNS. YOU ALSO EXPRESSLY AND FOREVER RELEASE TDPR FROM ANY DUTY TO PROTECT YOU OR YOUR DOG FROM INJURY OF ANY KIND, AND AGREE THAT ANY IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY PRECAUTIONS BY TDPR WILL NOT WAIVE TDPR’S RIGHT TO BE INDEMNIFIED AS PROVIDED HEREUNDER, AND SUCH PRECAUTIONS WILL NOT ALTER THIS RELEASE. YOU AGREE THAT THIS CONSTITUTES A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY OF TDPR TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID OR UNENFORCEABLE, THE REMAINDER OF THIS AGREEMENT WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.

Justin Kitts has always loved dogs. So it’s no surprise that Justin-the-kid, who was always fascinated with animals—from iguanas, to birds, to the ocean-dwelling creatures he studied at the Mystic Aquarium as a high-school student volunteer—would grow up to make that passion his life’s work.
With 15 years of professional dog-handling under his belt, Justin has trained more than 1,000 dogs across the country. His experience runs the gamut of dog breeds, canine personalities, and behavioral problems. There’s no dog too big or too small, too young or too senior. Justin has trained working police dogs and hunting dogs (like German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois), to a range of puppies and older house dogs (like a 5-pound Chihuahua and a 150-pound Mastiff giant).
Justin’s professional work with dogs and his military service has, on occasion, put him in the national spotlight. You might’ve seen him on a recent episode of A&E’s hit show “Wahlburgers,” or read about his combat deployment with K-9 partner Dyngo in Smithsonian magazine, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times best-selling book War Dogs.
It was right after high-school graduation that Justin made the decision to serve his country and enlist in the Air Force. During his 18-year career in the military, 11 of those years have been devoted to military working dogs to include six K-9 partners and three deployments. After returning from their combat deployment in Afghanistan in 2011, Justin and MWD Dyngo were awarded the Bronze Star. In 2012, he was a lead instructor at a highly specialized and intensive pre-deployment training course at Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona where he prepared dog teams from all military branches for their upcoming combat deployments. He’s also served on POTUS protection details for presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump. In addition to his military (and police) experience with dual-purpose detection dogs, Justin has also been training dogs privately since 2012 in personal protection and patrol work.
Fellow dog handlers and former clients have often observed that Justin’s connection to dogs is unique—that he has an innate ability to communicate with them. He understands dogs and they respond to him with ease. Through his quiet, confident manner and practiced patience, Justin refines his dog-training approach with each and every dog he trains.
In addition to his years of experience as a military dog handler, Justin is a graduate of Animal Behavior College. Through the merging of his professional, military, and private training experience, Justin has honed not only his skilled methods for evaluating individual dogs and their behavioral issues—leash pulling, jumping, barking, and potty issues—but his approach to resolving them.
Justin’s breadth of knowledge and experience includes Puppy Training, Basic Obedience, Advanced Obedience behavior modification, aggression rehabilitation, Detection, and Protection.
At Total Dog! Vegas, we operate under the philosophy that there are no “bad” dogs. All dogs have potential if you give them the right chance.
We also believe that dogs are individuals and as such there is no one cookie-cutter method to dog training that fits every single animal.
